Willie M. Rush

Willie M. Rush, 79, of Davenport, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Harmony Nursing Home, in Davenport.

A memorial service will be held at 3^rd Baptist Church, 222 W. 14^th Street, Davenport, Iowa, on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11 A.M.. Cremation will take place, prior to services, at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Willie Marvin Rush was born March 5, 1944, in Dekalb, Mississippi, to Melvin and Arlene (Griffin) Rush.

Willie retired from Caterpillar, then went on to work at Blackhawk Foundry as a production worker. He was a member of Greater Faith Baptist Church in Davenport. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, listening to blues music, and being outdoors.

Survivors include his daughters, Nicole (Nathaniel) Walker, and Angela Brown; a number of sisters, and 1 brother; his grandchildren, Desmond Glenn, JaWaan Glenn, Nyla Walker, Nathaniel Walker Jr., Cedrick Whitfield, and DeAdrain King; and his great-garndchildren, JaVeah Glenn, and JaZir Glenn. He is preceded in death by his parents; and many brothers, and sisters.
