William “Bill” H. Shea, 85, of Muscatine, Iowa, passed on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his wife and dogs.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family or to Faith United Church of Christ in Muscatine, Iowa.
William “Bill” Henry Shea was born on August 23, 1940, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of Henry and Leona (Braun) Shea. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force, proudly serving for eight years. Following his military service, he worked for the Liberty school district as a maintenance supervisor, where he earned his title as "Uncle Bill" from coworkers and students. He retired in 2013. He married Lisa Heinemeyer on February 19, 1994, in Buckeye, Arizona, and together they shared 31 wonderful years.
Bill and Lisa were members of Faith United Church of Christ in Muscatine. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast, and the two held season tickets to the track in Arizona for many years. In addition to NASCAR, Bill was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, faithfully cheering on his team. He also loved spending time at home with his dog, Henry, who will miss him dearly.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lisa Shea of Muscatine, Iowa; children, Debra Shea of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Gary Shea of Temple,Texas, and Lindsay Shea of Buckeye, Arizona; grandson, Beau Shea of Cabot, Arkansas; cousin, Father Shea of Thailand; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents and siblings, Helen Landreman, Mary Ann Brickle, and Catherine McCormick.
