Tim J. Bruder, 69, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, March 9, 2018, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Gatherings to celebrate Tim’s life will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Parkside Grill & Lounge, Moline, and 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Bott Center in Warsaw. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family, C/O Ted Bruder, for a memorial to be established in Tim’s memory.
He was born April 30, 1948, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Paul and Linda (Holtz) Bruder. He graduated from Warsaw High School before attending Keokuk Jr. College and Southern Illinois in Carbondale. He moved to Moline in 1991, where he worked in the restaurant/bar industry, at the President and then the Isle of Capri. After moving to Moline, he became “Uncle Buck”, watching his niece and nephews.
Tim will be most remembered for being the manager of a very successful fast-pitch softball team, Stag Beer (Stag boys). He was also an avid Illinois Illini fan.
He is survived by a brother, Ted (Angie) Bruder of Moline; nephews, Justin, Paul, and Nick Bruder; a niece, Katie (Brandon) Gosa; and a great-niece and nephew, Mackenzie and Jayden “J-Rock”. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Bruder.
