Sylvester E. Hall, 83, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Private burial is in Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois.

Sylvester Eugene Hall was born July 12, 1943, the son of Enoch and Hygine (Hayes) Hall. He married the love of his life, Elouise Holmes, and together they shared nearly 50 years of love and happiness before her passing in 2022.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Sylvester spent most of his career working at International Harvester. In retirement, he enjoyed golfing and cherished the time he spent with his wife and family.

Sylvester is survived by four children, Sheila Rich of Belleville, Illinois, Pamela (Koffi) Amegnran of East Moline, Everett “Dante” (Demetria) Dean of Lancaster, Texas, and Lataya (John) Wiley of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two siblings, Russell Hall and Geneva Hall; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved daughter, Sherie Weathers; and siblings, James Hall, Melvin “Cowboy” Hall, Georgia Kerr, and William Hall.
