Sally M. Anderson

June 8, 1954 — April 19, 2020

Sally M. Anderson, 65, of Davenport, IA, passed to the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at her home after a heroic battle with cancer.

Due to mandated health precautions, a Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a later date. Cremation will take place under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Sally Marie Stark was born in Waterloo, IA on June 8, 1954 to Louis and Vera (Bartlett) Stark joining her sister Victoria and brothers Randy and David. Her brother Russell was born 15 months later.

Sally continually put the needs and comfort of others before her own. Her home was always open and she treated her children’s friends as if they were her own kids. She ran a day care in her home when her daughter, Kelly, was young and then worked 27 years at Oscar Mayer during which her son, Ryan, joined the family. Sally touched the hearts of her co-workers, took pride in hard work, and had near perfect attendance prior to her retirement in 2017.

Sally fiercely loved her family, near and far. She enjoyed time together and was always up for a friendly game of cards. Sally taught her family about the value of unconditional love, hard work, and forgiveness.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Randy and her ex-husband Andy. Sally leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Jeremy Wells and step-grandchildren Eden, Addison and Liam of Blaine, MN; her son, Ryan Schlitter of Wilmington, NC; siblings, Victoria Sellers of Moline, IL, David (Joey) Stark of La Crosse, WI, and Russell (Susie) Stark of Blue Grass, IA; along with nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives and friends.
