Rodney “Rocket” Hill was born May 12,1962, in Green Acres, Davenport, Iowa, to Pearly “Tucker” and Evalyn (Followwill) Hill. He married Connie Sibley on May 12, 1999. Rod was a truck driver and could drive anything with a key. He drove freight loads across the country and hauled local construction equipment, drove cement trucks, etc.

Rocket enjoyed riding three wheelers, snowmobiles, go-carts, and most recently taking his grandkids and family on his tricked out golf cart. He loved to make people laugh, shot a mean game of pool, was an avid dirt track racing fan, loved to listen to music, liked to fish for catfish, and enjoyed his slot cars. Rod played softball for the West End over 30 and 40 leagues. Rocket was one of a kind and left an impression on anyone he met.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; sons, Justin (Lisa) Hill, and Jacob (Mindy) Hill, both of Princeton, Illinois; daughter, Alisha (Brett) Valle of Olgesby, Illinois; stepsons, Christopher (Danielle) Sibley of Monroe, Wisconsin, and Jeremy (Alex) Novitske of Buffalo, Iowa; sisters, Rhonda (James) Felton and Liberty (Tom) Hill, both of Davenport; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his lifelong friend, Mark Mirfield, who was by his side throughout his illness.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Chad Hill.
