Robert J. Nagle

Robert J. Nagle, 66, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Robert Joseph Nagle was born on March 4, 1960, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Edward Fay and Janet Marie (Umphress) Nagle.

He was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling and living life on his own terms. He was an avid fan of the Cardinals and Chicago Bears. He also enjoyed fishing, playing video games, cooking, hosting cookouts, spending time with his dogs, and enjoying a little 420. He had a great sense of humor and always appreciated “Going out with the whores tonight” for pool league.

Robert was a liver transplant survivor, having received his transplant on November 11, 2014. Through it all, he continued to live life with his sense of humor. Above everything else, he treasured his family and took great pride in being known as his grandchildren’s superhero, Papa Bob, Gr Bob, and even Daddy Cousin.

Robert is survived by his significant other of 18 years, Sue Peavy; sister, Jane Williams; brother, Randall (Donna) Nagle; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a special sister, Dawn; special cousin, Kim “Hazel”; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Janet Nagle; brother, Thomas Nagle; and sister, Sherry Nagle.
