Mary E. Braden, 84, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.
A graveside gathering to celebrate Mary’s life will be held in the Spring. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Burial is in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.
The former Mary Ellen Craig was born June 28, 1936, the daughter of James and DeVona (Davisson) Craig. She married Roy Braden on November 4, 1955, in Moline. He died March 3, 2019.
Mary was very involved in different churches, volunteering in their clothing and food ministries in previous years. Mary enjoyed watching the QVC channel and was a avid QVC shopper.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Kathy Braden of Bettendorf, and Marie (Brett) Peterson of Davenport; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Janet DeLire of East Dubuque, Iowa, and Robert (Joan) Craig of Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, James Braden in 1970; and a daughter, Susan Mathews in 2018.
