Lary L. King, 84, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Lary Lee King was born September 2, 1941, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Dean and Mary Frances (Murrill) King. He graduated from LeRoy High School in LeRoy, Illinois, and went on to marry Connie Kimler. The couple had three children prior to separating.

He worked 40 years for Montgomery Ward, starting off in carpet sales in Bloomington, and retiring as assistant manager of the store in Northpark Mall in Davenport, Iowa.

He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He also loved politics and was proud to be a staunch Republican.

Lary is survived by three children, Thomas King of Bettendorf, Karen Williams of Columbia, South Carolina, and Karlene King of Davenport; five grandchildren, David, Ashley and Erica Williams, Lauren Summage, and Parker King; and his twin brother, Gary King of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gene, David, Duane, and Roger King.
