Kenneth E. Negus

Kenneth E. Negus, well-known area barber, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at home surrounded by his family.

Private services will be held.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Ken was born February 4, 1951, in Davenport, the son of Benjamin and Hazel Negus.  He married Rozella Broughton on March 24, 1990, in Davenport.

He worked for many years at Don’s Barber Shop and Dutchman’s Barber Shop, and later retired from Blue Grass Barber Shop.  He truly loved his job and was well respected by his peers.

Ken loved golfing and working in his garden.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to him, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rozella; a daughter, Becky; a granddaughter, Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Tucker, Benson, Marisa, and Makayla; and siblings, Nancy and Don.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
