Karen A. Morton

Karen A. Morton, 62, of Davenport, Iowa, passed Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choosing in Karen’s honor. 

Karen Ann Morton was born August 11, 1963, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Keith and Judy (Feldhahn) Morton. She earned her nursing degree from Scott Community College and dedicated more than 30 years of service to patients throughout the Quad Cities as a dialysis nurse.

She loved to travel to Sweetwater and the Tri-State Rodeo in Fort Madison to dance. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing solitaire, and gardening. She loved sharing vegetables from her garden with neighbors, family, and friends. She also enjoyed baking homemade bread using ingredients from her garden. Karen was a great cook, and her shepherd's pie was always a family favorite.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Kelsey and Brittany Morton; significant other, Jim Jones; sister, Jean Marie Morton; nieces, Hannah Warhurst and Heidi Russ; and many others whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents and sibling, Joyce Hamilton.
