Julie Anne Carey, 71, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, March 9, 2023, in University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.

The former Julie Anne Owens was born April 13, 1951, in Moline, to Robert and Marjorie (Schultz) Owens. She loved cars, especially her 1972 Skylark, and enjoyed antique restoration, snow skiing, water skiing, and boating.

Julie Ann is survived by her long-time partner, Patrick Luther of Davenport; three daughters, Michell Madl, Chasidy Bryant, and Dawn Carey, all of Missouri; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sandy Reimers of Davenport, and Pam Irving of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Doug Owens.
