Joseph D. Leebold

Joseph D. Leebold, 37, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

An online gathering to celebrate Joe’s life will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.

Joseph Douglas Leebold was born June 3, 1988, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Steven and Lori (Priest) Leebold. He graduated from Moline High School in 2006 alongside the love of his life, Amanda (Hoffman) McDanel, with whom he shared great happiness during the past year and a half.

Joe enjoyed his job at MidAmerican Energy, where he worked as Lead CEA Trainer. He enjoyed playing Dungeons & Dragons, video games, listening to music, and binge-watching shows with Amanda.

Joe is survived by his significant other, Amanda; his loving mother, Lori DeJonghe of Moline; his brother, Jon (Nikki Franks) Leebold of Milan, Illinois; three nephews and a niece, Jameson and Kane Leebold, Maddox Franks, and Cali Smet; and his beloved dogs, Toby and Zeke. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Leebold.
