Jeffery A. Gruetzmacher

Jeffery A. Gruetzmacher, 69, of Davenport, Iowa, passed on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Bettendorf.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Jeffery Allen Gruetzmacher was born on August 6, 1957, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Virgil and Doris (Jackson) Gruetzmacher. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He married Tammy Wyjack on March 13, 1992, and together they shared 32 years of marriage before her passing on January 15, 2025.

He was a free spirit who loved riding his motorcycle and enjoying the open road. When he wasn't out on a trip, he could often be found playing pool, spending time at the bar, or, especially, at Geezers, where he enjoyed the company of friends.

Jeff is survived by his children, Jamie (Sam) Gruetzmacher, Jessica Johnson, Jeff Reisen, and Jacob Wieland; grandchildren, Gwen Johnson, Cody Johnson, Bella Shane, Zoey Gruetzmacher, Grace Gruetzmacher, Willow Gruetzmacher, and many more; siblings, Paul “Gunner” Gruetzmacher, Judy Carroll, and Laura Embree. He was preceded by his wife, Tammy Grueztmacher; parents, Virgil and Doris Gruetzmacher; and siblings, Steven Grueztmacher and Marcia Schricker.
