Frankie J. Dobbins

Frankie J. Dobbins, 68, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at Silvis Center, Silvis, Illinois.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Frank was born June 26, 1958, the son of Daniel “Pat” and Sharon Dobbins. He worked for John Deere and Servus Rubber.

Frank had a passion for cars and crafts. He found great enjoyment in building model cars, creating detailed dioramas, and working on a variety of crafts. Music also brought him happiness, and he enjoyed playing the guitar whenever he had the opportunity. Above all else, Frank treasured the time he spent with his son, Sean, and his best friend, Susan Smith, whose companionship and love meant the world to him.

Frank also had a close relationship with his brother, John. Together they watched Nascar races and movies, and ate tacos. Frank had recently reconnected with his faith in Jesus Christ.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Sean Dobbins of East Moline; his siblings, John (Marie) Dobbins, Sam "Richard" Dobbins, Rachel Munson, and Julie Blood; several nieces and nephews, including Natalie, Alys, Ryan and Ethan; his best friend, Susan Smith; along with other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dana Shonts; and brother, David Blood.
