Emily J. Fraser

Emily J. Fraser, 77, of Davenport, Iowa, passed on July 23, 2026, at her residence.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Emily Jean Fraser was born on December 13, 1948, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of William and Jean Phyllis (Jones) Fraser. She graduated from high school and later earned an associate's degree from Scott Community College. She worked as a medical transcriber and was also employed at the Rock Island Arsenal.

Emily enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who delighted in playing with her newest yarn.

Emily is survived by her children, Joan (William) West of Durant, Iowa, Amy (Travis) Sapp of Ames, Iowa, Max Melton of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Elizabeth Moses of Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, William (Cheri) Fraser, Michael (Sherry) Fraser, Rowland Fraser, Kaye (Dan) Schaeffer, and Nancy Fraser; and a special grandchild to her, Amber Rehm. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Phyllis Fraser.
