Edward D. Housley

Edward D. Housley, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Private graveside services will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Edward Dale Housley was born May 26, 1928, in Colby, Wisconsin, to Francis and Iola Barr Housley. He served with the US Army in Korea, and married Alyce Elizabeth Moeller in Davenport. She died in 1979.  He owned and operated Petroleum Service Company in Bettendorf, and retired from Niemi Property Management. He belonged to the American Legion, loved sending time with his family and special friend, Betty Thibodeaux.

Edward is survived by two children and spouses, Candace and David Crockett of Calamus, Iowa, and Norman and Elizabeth Housley of Arizona; four grandchildren and spouses, Misti and John Ackeberg, Brandi Dixon, Dale and Kathleen Powers, and Bryce Jabanoski; four great-grandchildren, Delany Dixon, Dominic Powers, Tenley Jabanoski, and Joey Powers; a brother, Jim Housley of Maine; and several  nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Deb Housley and Jackie Archer. He was preceded in death by his wife and seven siblings.
