Carol M. Lorenz, 95, of Davenport, Iowa, died Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the Kahl Home, Davenport.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Carol will be interred at Rock Island National Cemetery with her husband, Albert. Memorials may be made to a favorite veteran’s charity.
The former Carol Margaret Sejrup was born June 15, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Axel and Marie (Peterson) Sejrup. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She married Albert Lorenz on December 17, 1949, in Davenport. He died January 14, 2012.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and being with family. She volunteered for Trinity Lutheran School in Davenport as a bus driver for several years.
Carol is survived by five children, Jerry and Sherry Lorenz of Davenport, Kristin and Rick Allman of Tyler, Texas, Aaron and Simin Lorenz of Lakeland, Colorado, Rebekah Toelle of Florida, and Marty and Paul Kozar of Barrington, Illinois; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor McCoy of Minnesota; and a brother, Earl and Jean Sejrup of Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and a brother, Johnny Sejrup.
