Benjamin A. Border

Oh Benjamin A. Border, 39, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Benjamin Alan Border was born June 20, 1985, in Davenport, the son of Bruce and Kimberly (Claussen) Border. He married the love of his life, Sarah Smith, on September 12, 2015.

He was a talented commercial painter, working alongside his brother. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing video games. He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan who was also known to cheer on the New England Patriots.

Nothing brought Ben more joy than being with his children that he affectionately referred to as his “butt nuggets.” He will be remembered as a great friend.

Ben is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah Border; four daughters, Ariana (Brenden Tanner) Rinehart, Sabrina (Kaleb Luckritz) Rinehart, Octavia (Tycho Carmichael) Smith, and Kyla Border; his mother, Kimberly Border; his siblings, Heidi (John) Conner and Joe (Marissa) Dyer, and their families; his close friend, Kyle (Jessica) Godfrey, who was like a brother to Ben; his mother-in-law, Darilyn Smith; and the rest of his in-laws with whom he was close. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Border.
