Anthony J. Sartor, 41, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on August 6th, 2026 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease - Multiple System Atrophy.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory in Moline, Illinois. There will be no public services in accordance with his wishes.
Anthony Joseph Sartor was born May 24th, 1985 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Robert and Nam (Chung) Sartor. He and his family moved to Bettendorf Iowa, where he attended Bettendorf High School from 1999 to 2003. He graduated Iowa State University in 2007 with honors with a Bachelors in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. At Iowa State, he was President of the ISU's Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
In his career, he worked for Caterpillar Logistics in Morton, Illinois, and Cobham (Eaton) in Davenport, Iowa.
One of his passions was automotive mechanics. He could disassemble, repair, and reassemble almost any part of a car or truck. People always recognized his vehicles from his trademark black "Deer Guard" steel bumpers he welded to the front.
He was also an avid outdoorsman, spending many summers at his family's cabin near Muscatine, Iowa or rafting up and down the Mississippi River. He also enjoyed biking, target shooting, carpentry, and regaling his friends and family with entertaining stories.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Robert and Nam Sartor, brother Aaron Sartor, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins -and with each he shared a special bond.
He was a gift.
