Susan K. Ballard

Susan K. Ballard, 66, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Friday, December 15, 2017, at home.

A gathering to celebrate Sue’s life will take place in the near future.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Susan Kay Weathers was born October 5, 1951, in Rock Island, the daughter of John W. Weathers, Sr and Betty J. (Fues) Weathers.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and crocheting, working on puzzle books, and watching the WWE.  Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Sue is survived by three sons, William H. Ballard, Jr. of Moline, Mark J. “Joe” Ballard and his wife, Carol, of Greenville, Illinois, and Christopher L. Ballard of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Karen Toensing of Rock Island, John W. Weathers, Jr. of Davenport, Larry Weathers of Milan, Pennie Weathers of Milan, and Carl Weathers of Las Vegas; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Carla Robertson.
