Martin T. Krakovec

Martin T. Krakovec, 83, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.  There will be no public services.

Martin Theodore Krakovec was born December 1, 1935, in Bessemer, Michigan, the son of Martin and Katherine (Lemonick) Krakovec.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years before marrying Corrine Tomczyk on October 3, 1959.  He worked for Container Corporation of America (later McMillan Bloedel) for 41 years, retiring in 1998.

Marty is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Corrine; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Diana Krakovec of Coal Valley, Illinois; a daughter, Laura Krakovec; and two grandchildren, Dr. Kristin Krakovec and Nicholas Krakovec.
