Laura J. Sanders

Laura J. Sanders, 67, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, January 23, 2021, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Laura Jane Fried was born September 30, 1953, in Elgin, North Dakota, the daughter of Herbert and Viola (Otto) Fried. She married Wayne A. Sanders on August 8, 1975. He died February 2, 2012.

She worked for Custom-Pak for over 20 years. She enjoyed collecting trinkets.

Laura is survived by four children, Jamie (Layla) Sanders of Charlotte, North Carolina, Melissa (David) Peterson of Chapin, South Carolina, Joshua Sanders of Lyndon, Illinois, and Jaaron Sanders of Camanche, Iowa; grandchildren, Dalton and Mickey Peterson, McKayla, Clayton, JT, and Elizabeth Sanders, and Breten Dolan; and siblings, Susan (Jeff) Combs, Cindy (Deryl) Martin, Julie (Doyle) Huepil, and Eric (Jen) Fried. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a nephew, Jordan Huepil; and a niece, Cara McCluskey.
