Cindy L. Rush, 61, of Henderson, Nevada, died Friday, December 10, 2021, at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.
A gathering to celebrate Cindy’s life will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
The former Cindy Louise Smith was born November 19, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of Robert Eugene and Joyce Carol (Dubuque) Smith.
She enjoyed going to the beach, cooking, sitting on her porch, and bonfires. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Cindy, especially her grandchildren. She loved taking them for snow cones and ice cream.
Cindy is survived by her parents, Robert Smith of Henderson, and Joyce (Gary) McBrien of Bettendorf, Iowa; two children, Natalie (Jonathan) Evans of Bridge City, Texas, and James “Ryan” Wood of Angleton, Texas; three grandchildren, Tyler (Briana Courville) Barker, Blaine Evans, and Easton Evans; her step-daughter, Mackenzie Rush of Angleton, who was like a daughter to Cindy, and Mackenzie’s children, Ariana and John David; two sisters, Vicky (Tim) Marland of Bettendorf, and Candy (Daniel Birl) Davis of Henderson; a niece, Amber (John) Wiemer; and a nephew, Skylar (Cecile) Marland.
