David Serrato, 61, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, in the emergency room at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Moline.
Private family services will take place. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
David was born March 3, 1957, in Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Jesus and Maria (Martinez) Serrato. He married Socorro DeJesus on October 3, 2008, in Culiacán, Mexico.
He was a Jehovah’s Witness, and loved to preach. He was also an excellent soccer player and enjoyed playing whenever he could. Family was the most important thing to David.
David is survived by his wife, Socorro; two daughters, Liz Sarai Serrato of Davenport, and Lindsey (Luis) Serrato Lugo, both of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Lizarai and Laureli Villagomez, Leilani Serrato, and Keoni Yahir Tolentino, Laila and Lexxia Dorantes, Alexander Reyes, and Lilli Lugo; and seven siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
